"Exec 90" Helicopter
Project History
Stoney Point Farm is located in rough, hilly country. Living there, one leg gets shorter than the other in order to stand up straight. Bavarian Red Stag Deer (a feral operation) and American Bison are raised on the farm. To contain them requires about eight miles of fence nine feet high, and another three miles of fence six feet high. It takes half a day to run the fenceline by jeep. Doing it by helicopter would cut the time to twenty minutes. So when Bill was at Oshkosh in 1992, he "bit" when he found a "today only" special offer of $4000 off the kit price if he purchased it right then. The kit sells for $62,500 today.

Considerations
The primary problem with the program is time and money (what else is new?). The propaganda says you can assemble the "Quick Kit" in 250 hours. So far, Bill has spent more than 500 hours on it, and he's about halfway finished. He says, "I guess that's what I get for being an Ozarker from Missouri." It has a TBO of 500 hours, and that really means to rebuild it from the skids up. The support from the factory is excellent, and resupplying parts for "boo-boos" is one or two days to your doorstep.
